History of Padprik Udang

Padprik Udang is Thai in origin. The word pad prik is a Thai phrase ผัดพริก where pad means stir fry and prik means chilli.

Prawn Padprik Recipe

The ingredients:

1 1/2 lb fresh shrimp
1 cup of carrots, cur 1-inch long
1/2 red bell paper
2 tbsp red curry paste
3 tbsp vegetable oil
5 kaffir lime leaves
2 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup water

Lets get start!

1. Add vegetable oil into a saute pan or a wok and wait till the oil hot.
2. Then add red paste curry for about 3 to 4 minutes.
3. Add shrimp and saute it until it cooks through
4. Add green beans and carrots.
5. Add sugar and fish sauce and water to keep it moist about 5 minutes.
6. Add kaffir leaves and saute for another 20 seconds.
7. Done! serve it with white rice!
